Named in 1882 after the seven hat-makers in nearby Stamford Street, Hatfields is a key walking route from South Bank to Waterloo. On the way through you’ll find one of the main hidden gems in Waterloo…

Isabella Street

Flower-lined Isabella Street is Waterloo’s very own hidden oasis. Bars and restaurants bring the street to life, making it the prime spot for post-work revelry. Boasting hundreds of varieties of plants, Isabella Street will soon widen the eyes of tourists, workers and residents alike in the evening as the BID has plans to install a new lighting scheme creating another green walkway from Southwark tube to Hatfields and beyond.
