King Edward Walk is a peaceful back-street allowing a quick and quiet link from Imperial War Museum London to Westminster Bridge Road’s guerrilla garden and beyond. But just a stone's throw away - and next door to the museum itself - lies a tranquil oasis.

Tibetan Peace Garden

Opened by His Holiness the Dalai Llama in 1999, the Tibetan Peace Garden is adorned with teachings of the need to create understanding between different cultures and to establish places of peace and harmony in the world, as well as contempary western sculptures representing the four elements air, fire, earth & water.

Simply and yet perhaps most deeply, Samten Kyil means Garden of Contemplation and is a place where anyone can come and enjoy a time of peace and tranquillity.
